Sensory Play Sessions

Sensory Play Sessions are part of the programme at Xcite Activity Play Centre in Greenock.

The centre opens its sensory room for guided play twice a week: "a playful, multi-sensory environment where babies and toddlers can explore a variety of textures, sounds and colours through guided activities."

What to expect:

• Every Tuesday and Wednesday, 12pm to 2pm
• Built for babies and toddlers, who "touch, feel and experiment at their own pace"
• Each session is "carefully designed to support curiosity, creativity and early cognitive development" and to build "confidence, coordination and sensory awareness"
• "Adults are required to stay and monitor child at all times whilst in the room, and equipment must be kept in the room at all times"
• "This is included in your play session price, no extra charge"
• The rest of the centre stays open around it — three soft play frames, a sports area and Kano's Cafe
