Shorelife

Enjoy free admission to WWT Castle Espie and National Trust Mount Stewart for a special day celebrating the wildlife, landscapes and coastal heritage of Strangford Lough. Shorelife Celebration offers a packed programme of activities for all ages.

What to expect:

• Saturday 10 October 2026, 10am to 5pm
• Make your own kite, meet marine creatures in a touch tank, discover nature through a microscope, children's crafts, STEM story sessions, bushcraft skills, fungi discovery walks and fossil displays
• “Admission: Free”. Pre-bookable photography, creative and artist-led sessions also run, and “some activities may carry an additional charge”
• A free shuttle bus runs between WWT Castle Espie and National Trust Mount Stewart
• Organised by Ards and North Down Borough Council with WWT Castle Espie and National Trust Mount Stewart
