Spooky Forest Trail

The Spooky Forest Trail is part of the pay-and-play programme at Forest Facility Adventure Centre, 100 acres of private forest on the Burghley estate near Stamford.

Every Halloween the Glow Sprites fill the woodland with magical light - but this year they have disappeared and the Heart Tree has stopped glowing. "This is a calm, thoughtful, nature-based Halloween trail", for families who do not want the usual scary experience.

What to expect:

• Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 2026, from 10am
• Follow the map through the historic 60-acre forest, finding pumpkins, mushrooms and clues
• Complete your ghostly task sheet, then head back to base camp for your treat
• Pack includes a forest map, an activity book with colouring pencils, and spooky sweets
