Spooky Stories: Halloween Children's Creative Writing Workshop

Happy Halloween! Spooky season is the perfect time to tell stories about things that go bump in the night. In this fun hour-long workshop for writers aged 7 to 11, we’ll come up with our own campfire tales, exploring how adjectives and sensory details can make them even more chilling! This workshop is part of Colchester Library’s autumn creative writing programme for young writers. This series of workshops for writers aged 7 to 11 and 12 to 17 takes a fun, hands-on approach, led by creative writing tutor Daisy Jones. Each session stands alone, so you can come to just one, or as many as you like. All materials are provided and no previous writing experience is required – just bring your imagination! All workshops are free, but places are limited and booking is essential.
