Spurn Bat Walks are part of the programme at Spurn National Nature Reserve, run by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust from its Discovery Centre. “Join us for a family friendly guided walk around Kilnsea, in search of some of our more elusive residents.”
What to expect:
- Three dates — Friday 16 and Saturday 24 October at 6pm, and Saturday 31 October at 5pm, each lasting an hour and a half
- “You will learn how to use a bat detector and put this into action, becoming a bat detective.”
- How different bat species are identified through sound alone
- “Right light torches will be provided, but if you feel more comfortable bringing your own torche then you are welcome to do so.”
- “Please be aware we cover areas of uneven ground and the event takes place in low light.”
- Meet at the Discovery Centre; parking is “£5 per car for all day parking”, free for members
