Stargazing Experience: Wonders of the Night Sky is part of the programme at Ascott House and Gardens in Wing, Buckinghamshire.
UK Astronomy bring a family-friendly evening of cosmic discovery: an engaging Solar System talk on planets, moons and constellations, then telescopes outdoors under the night sky.
What to expect:
- Friday 23 October, arrival from 18:45, starts 19:15, ends 22:00
- Indoor talk first, then a refreshment break, then stargazing outdoors; you may see the Moon, planets or deeper-sky objects
- Telescopes and binoculars are provided
- "Recommended for ages 12+"
- "Please dress appropriately for the weather" — warm clothing and suitable footwear recommended
- Goes ahead in all weather: if cloud stops the stargazing, an immersive indoor night-sky presentation replaces it
- "Adult: £22. Child (18 and under): £15. Essential carer/companion: Free (booking still required)"
- Tea and instant coffee available during the break
