Sunday Family Sessions: Tulip Planting and Pot Decorating

Sunday Family Sessions: Tulip Planting and Pot Decorating is part of the Family Learning programme at the Garden Museum on Lambeth Palace Road, London. A free Sunday drop-in where families make something together, taking its cue from whatever is hanging in the galleries.

In celebration of Winter Flowers’ Week and ahead of our Tulips exhibition opening in the spring, we will be decorating terracotta pots and planting them with tulip bulbs, ready for you to grow at home.

What to expect:

• Sunday 15 November 2026, 11am – 12.30pm
• “Free. No booking required: first come, first served.”
• “Suitable for all ages 3y+”
• “All children to be accompanied and actively supervised by a parent or carer, who are encouraged to join in with the session too.”
• Take your planted pot home to grow on
• “Please be aware that we will be using acrylic paint pens which may stain. Please wear appropriate clothing.”
• Museum galleries, garden and the award-winning Garden Café are on the same site
