About this event
The Dark Emporium is part of the programme at the Bank of England Museum in the City of London, alongside its temporary exhibition ‘After the Fire’.
"You’ll see the Museum’s Stock Office come to life with a Halloween-themed market selling books and handmade wares from vendors across the UK."
What to expect:
- Friday 30 October 2026, 10am to 7.30pm (last entry 7pm)
- "From literary apothecaries and graphic novels, to ghoulish stationery and coven magazines"
- "Visitors who arrive in costume will receive a free small prize!"
- "the market will be set to the beats of a live DJ set"
- Also open: a "life-sized coffee shop and city scene" in the After the Fire exhibition
- "While booking is not required, we do advise booking in advance as ticket-holders will receive priority admission throughout the evening."
- "Please note there is airport-style security at the Museum's entrance"
