The Painted Paradise: 18th century landscapes of Shugborough

Take a closer look at our historic watercolours to see Thomas Anson’s vision for building his own paradise at Shugborough Estate. Artists Nicholas Dall, Moses Griffith, and Edward Jones celebrated this vision through their paintings of Shugborough's monuments, including some structures that have long since disappeared.

What to expect:

• 20 September 2026 to 1 November 2026, from 11:00 to 16:00
