About this event
Join us for one of nature's greatest transformations as you become the world's most famous caterpillar from Eric Carle's best-selling book The Very Hungry Caterpillar™. Wiggle along the trail to spot juicy fruits and tasty snacks before emerging as a beautiful butterfly. Along the way, you'll digest fascinating facts and enjoy games and activities around Wimpole's gardens.
What to expect:
- Daily 1 October to 1 November 2026, 09:30–16:00
- This trail is aimed at children under 5.
- Please dress for the weather and wear wellies or sensible shoes as there may be wet and muddy areas in the gardens.
- This trail will be taking place in the gardens with accessible paths. There are accessible toilets and parking. We also offer powered mobility vehicles for hire.
- Meeting point: Collect a trail sheet from the visitor welcome centre and head to the gardens.
