The Wonder Workshop: Cloud Collage

The Wonder Workshop: Cloud Collage is part of the programme at The Bowes Museum in Barnard Castle, County Durham.

A half-term workshop for older children and teenagers that puts real museum objects on the table and asks what the science behind them is, before turning the answers into something made.

What to expect:

• Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 October 2026, 12.30pm to 1.45pm, in the Create Space
• "Unlock your imagination and join us for this creative workshop that blends the logic of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) with the magic of art."
• "Discover hidden stories in real museum objects, experiment with creative techniques, and have a chance to discover, design and create."
• The museum's own hook: "How the swan moves? Why Joséphine and John Bowes collected the objects that they did?"
• "Suitable for ages 10 – 16. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult."
• Reserve a place in advance; the workshop is "included in admission"
