About this event

Threading Stories of The Past is a family friendly embroidery workshop at the National Holocaust Museum in Laxton, Nottinghamshire.

Join us as we talk about the life of Zdenka Husserl and other children who survived the Holocaust and travelled over to England to a children’s home, Lingfield House, where they embroidered a tablecloth showing their happiest moments in 1948.

What to expect:

  • Tuesday 20 and Tuesday 27 October 2026, 1pm to 2pm
  • Explore the original tablecloth, then create your own personal embroidered patch capturing the joys of your family’s life
  • No sewing experience necessary. Suitable for multigenerational families. Age 9+
  • This event is included within your admission ticket
