Trail of Terror is part of the events programme at Colchester Zoo (Colchester Zoological Society) in Stanway, Colchester. An evening Halloween scare trail: "Over 1.5 miles of thrills and chills await you…" with scarers, a road train ride and Safe Zones for food along the route.
What to expect:
- Evenings of 16, 17, 23, 24, 28, 30 and 31 October 2026, with entry timeslots every 15 minutes
- "Tickets must be pre-booked online in advance for a specific time of arrival!"
- "£26.50 per person" off-peak (16, 17 Oct); "£28.50 per person" peak; "£30.00 per person" on 31 Oct
- Not admitted under 5; "We do not recommend this event for anyone under the age of 12 years old however, this is at guardians’ discretion."
- Under-16s must be with an adult over 16
- Expect fog and strobe effects, loud noises and enclosed spaces
- No animal viewing; food outlets are card only
