Turn up for Turnips 2026

Part of Manx National Heritage's Hop tu Naa programme, which runs 24 October to 1 November 2026.

Get ready for Hop tu Naa fun this half term at Cregneash Folk Village. Come along to carve your own traditional turnip lantern, take part in seasonal crafts, and start your Hop tu Naa celebrations early in a living historic village setting.

What to expect:

• Monday 26 to Friday 30 October 2026, 10am-4pm daily
• Carve your own turnip (moot) lantern, with staff on hand to support carving and safe tool use
• Autumn crafts and colouring in the marquee; fancy dress welcome for children and adults
• Free drilling service available daily from 10am to 3pm
• No need to book, just turn up; activities run while supplies last each day
• Outdoors on uneven ground: wear suitable footwear; adult supervision required at all times
• Standard site admission applies; Children and Manx National Heritage Pass Holders FREE
• Turnips available for £3 each
