Wellies, wildlife & autumn fun trail | October Half Term 2026

Autumn has arrived! Leaves are falling, and the gardens are changing from bright green to lovely gold, orange, and brown.

On this self-led trail, see who can throw a wellie the furthest, spot different species of bats, play amongst the fallen leaves, and explore the rich colours of autumn. Discover the sights, sounds, and wonders of the season as you enjoy this magical time of year in the gardens.

What to expect:

• Selected dates 17 October 2026 to 8 November 2026 (19 dates), 10:00 onwards
• Start your journey and pick up a trail sheet at admissions.
• Suitable for children ages 3+. Must be accompanied by an adult.
• Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothes suitable for outdoor activities.
• Winding, narrow or uneven paths make some areas inaccessible to wheelchair users. Level access from the car park can be arranged; then access to the main garden area is via an incline.
• No booking needed
