About this event

Young Engineers Club is part of the programme at Haynes Motor Museum in Sparkford, Somerset.

In this hands-on workshop, children become safety engineers and designers! Young engineers will design and build a car from a range of materials to protect the passenger from... an egg! After building, it’s time to see who will crack first.

What to expect:

  • Thursday 29 October 2026, sessions 10:30-12:00 and 13:00-14:30
  • Sessions are ideal for 7- to 12-year-olds.
  • Explore aerodynamics, force and motion, and race F1 inspired rocket cars
  • Tickets include entry for 1 child and 1 accompanying adult into Young Engineers Club Workshop.
  • Adults must remain in the session with the child.
  • Museum entry not included.
  • Meet at Reception 10 minutes before the start; booking required
