Walk a 3.5km poetry-themed path through woodland, moor and riverbank featuring contemporary Scottish poems and sculptures in a living landscape.
Corbenic Poetry Path is a meandering 3.5km circular walking route around the grounds of Corbenic Camphill Community in Scotland. The path winds through diverse natural landscapes including woodland, moorland, and riverbank, offering visitors a unique blend of nature, art, and literature. More than twenty published Scottish contemporary poets have donated their words for display along the route, with poems carved into stone and wood, waiting to be discovered among trees, beside water, and in open spaces. The path is enhanced by spectacular sculptures created by art students from Budapest School of Fine Art who spend summers at Corbenic. These artworks respond to the landscape and poetry, creating a dynamic conversation between art and nature. The path was built collaboratively by Corbenic Community residents, volunteers, and visiting artists, embodying the values of creativity and community care that define the space. Most visitors complete the circular route in approximately one hour, though many linger longer to absorb the poetry and peaceful atmosphere. The venue is suitable for families, walkers of all ages, and those seeking a contemplative outdoor experience. The path remains free to access year-round and welcomes visitors in every season. Importantly, visitors are asked to respect that Corbenic is a residential care community and to stay on designated paths.
