About this event
Abberton Nature Tots is part of the Essex Wildlife Trust events programme at Abberton Reservoir Nature Discovery Park near Colchester.
Nature Tots is a weekly parent and toddler group where young children can explore, play and learn through nature. It is an outdoor playgroup inspired by the Forest School Principles, and every session is child-led.
What to expect:
- Wednesdays 10am-12pm in term time: 14 and 21 October, then 11 November to 16 December
- Suitable for children aged 18 months to 5 years; siblings under 18 months attend free without a ticket
- Bug hunting, swinging in the hammock, playing in the mud kitchen and nature crafts
- Meet at the Education Shelter; outdoors for the whole session, with an undercover shelter
- Dress in layers; wellies or boots advised after rain
- Buggy-friendly gravel trail; cafe, shop, toilets and free car park on site
- £10.35 per child - (1 week). Block tickets are also sold for each term
