Abbotsbury Illuminate 2026 - Immersive Winter Lights at the Gardens

Abbotsbury Illuminate is the winter run of the lit trail at Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens near Weymouth, wandering the gardens and woodland valley after dark on selected evenings between late November and New Year.

What to expect:

• 23 evenings: 20-22 and 27-29 November, 4-6, 11-14 and 18-23 December, then 28-31 December 2026 - the exact list held by the gardens' own ticket system
• A glowing trail through familiar plants and pathways, billed as “Our longest Illuminate route yet”
• Pitched as a special family evening or “a festive winter adventure”; no age recommendation is given
• “Family tickets are available, with no booking fee and free car parking included.”
• Adult, child, disabled and carer tickets, booked by timeslot through the gardens' own shop
• Santa's Grotto runs alongside it at dusk on nine of these dates, bought as a separate ticket
• Outdoors after dark; the operator asks you to check its social media on the day, because high winds can cancel an evening
