The Santa Island Experience is part of Christmas at Alderford Lake in Whitchurch, Shropshire.
The journey begins by boat: families sail across the lake to a hidden island where elves hand out treats, tell stories and lead the way to Father Christmas in his woodland grotto.
What to expect:
- Runs 27 November to 23 December 2026, in timed daytime and twilight sessions
- “Duration: Approx 90 minutes”
- Toasted s'mores with the elves, storytime, a wish at the Wishing Bridge and a turn in the toy workshop
- “Hot chocolate for every child and mulled wine for the adults”
- A personal visit with Father Christmas, a book and a gift for every child
- “Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your session time”
- Buoyancy aids are provided and must be worn on the boat; an adjusted boat is available for wheelchair and mobility scooter users by emailing the venue
