About this event
Artillery Display is part of the programme at Nothe Fort, Weymouth's Victorian sea fort.
The Nothe Fort Garrison, The Dorsetshire Regiment, put on live firing demonstrations in their Victorian uniforms, with musketry and cannon firing drills and a chance to learn about the Garrison's duties. This is the last demonstration of 2026.
What to expect:
- Sunday 11 October, firing demonstrations between 12pm and 3pm
- Musketry and cannon firing drills by the Victorian Garrison
- The firing can be quite loud; ear defenders are offered to borrow by staff on the Parade Ground
- Seats around the fort; Fort View Café open for the event
- Dog-friendly (short leads); mostly wheelchair accessible with a lift to all three levels
- Parking at Nothe Car Park outside the fort
- This event is included in the price of admission and is FREE with an Annual Pass.
