About this event
Beamish Family Film Club is part of the events programme at Beamish, The Living Museum of the North, in County Durham.
Every Saturday morning the museum's restored 1950s Grand cinema fills up with small people: the club is showing Leeds Young Film Festival's short films exploring the animal kingdom. Come and meet a pair of bears who discover a magic wand in the woods, a band of musical animal friends, a buzzing bumblebee, and mischievous garden squirrels.
What to expect:
- Saturdays at 11.30am - 26 September, 3, 10 and 17 October 2026
- The shorts last approximately 30 minutes
- All films have closed captions, are U rated and have minimal or no dialogue
- Shown in the Grand Cinema in The 1950s Town
- Free with an Unlimited Pass or Friends of Beamish membership, as with all daytime events
- Museum admission is needed to reach the cinema; the museum is open daily 10am-5pm until 23 October
