It's a must visit place for all ages. Despite the weather was super cold, all people/ staff was helpful and friendly. In most of the houses / places around the museum there was a real fire in the fireplaces - so cozy and welcoming. It gave me the feeling of visiting a real people in every place. We loved everything about our visit. The transport - wow - tram, doubledecker buses from different decades - brilliant working condition - admirations for all the effort to keep all these things working and looking amazing! The bakery shop is top quality, the food at the rearooms was fresh and service was lovely. Can't wait to come back spring time and then again in the summer Prices are reasonable, nothing too expensive, plenty of spaces for having great day out with the whole family (pet friendly too).

Absolutely magical for all ages worth every mile from London We travelled up from London with my husband and our two children aged 6 and 7 and had the most wonderful time at Beamish Open Air Museum. The site is vast and although we didn’t manage to see everything in one visit every area we explored felt immersive engaging and incredibly special. The attention to detail the costumed staff and the sights sounds and atmosphere made history come alive for our children in a way no classroom ever could. They were completely captivated and as adults we were just as enchanted. It’s the kind of place you’d happily visit again and again. I would even love to come back on my own and I know my dad and brother would absolutely love it too. It truly offers something for every age. An unforgettable experience and genuinely worth the trip from London. We’ll definitely be back many more times.

I absolutely love this place — the attention to detail is incredible, and you really feel like you’re walking onto a movie set. The staff in each location are perfectly in character. They’re not just dressed for the part, they’re fully acting it out, whether they’re making cakes, cleaning out pig pens, or whittling a stick into a Christmas gift. There are bars, pubs, restaurants, and shops to explore, where you can buy authentic goods (sadly, while the items may be in keeping with the time period, the prices are definitely up to date!). Authentic bus and tram rides are included in the ticket price, which is valid for up to 12 months. Some of these are wheelchair accessible, as are many of the houses, meaning there’s plenty to enjoy for everyone.

Incredible experience! Walking through the 1900s high street and riding the vintage bus and tram is just magic. The staff and actors are incredibly friendly and really bring the history to life. The whole place is beautifully kept and very family friendly. It's rare to find somewhere that is both educational and genuinely fun for all ages. A whole day is not enough to explore the whole town. 10/10, will definitely be back to maximize the annual pass.

Intriguing place and a lot to see. We went on a weekday and it wasn’t that busy for the start of December. £33 each which is quite steep. We’ll be visiting every time we pass from now on to get our monies worth as it’s valid all year :D had a good laugh and my favourite was the 1900’s. A great day out for families too
