About this event
The Christmas Lights Switch On is part of the Blairgowrie Christmas Festival weekend, which opens the festive season in Blairgowrie and Rattray on the last weekend in November. It is the moment the town centre lights come on, run by the local Illuminations Committee.
What to expect:
- Saturday 28 November 2026, 3pm to 6pm, in the Wellmeadow in the middle of Blairgowrie
- Entertainment through the afternoon and community stalls around the Wellmeadow
- "This is a free event, but donations are welcome to allow us to continue to have the Christmas Lights in Blairgowrie & Rattray"
- Outdoors in late November - wrap up warm, and there is no booking, you just come along
- It runs on the same day as the wider Christmas Festival, so markets and gift shopping are on around the town centre from the morning
- Organised by the Illuminations Committee, a local volunteer group
