About this event
Characters from History is part of the programme at Arundel Castle in West Sussex. The castle writes: “An opportunity to meet characters from the Castle’s history, with a focus on the 12th Century, and in particular the first two sieges at the Castle. Meet a Crusader, Knight, Archer and The Master Falconer.”
What to expect:
- Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 October 2026 at Arundel Castle
- “Be regaled by tall tales from our Storyteller, listen to Medieval tunes by our wandering musicians and see historical craft and weapons demonstrations”
- Have-a-go archery, plus First Siege Tours at 11.30am and 2.30pm with a Norman Soldier
- “Have a go Archery is for over 8’s and height restrictions may apply. All other have a go activities are for ages 3+”
- “Included in all ticket types with activities included in the ticket price.”
- “Visitors are welcome to picnic in the Castle grounds.”
- “Unaccompanied children (5-16) are not permitted.”
