Children's Introduction to Knitting

Children's Introduction to Knitting is part of East Neuk Knits, which runs 26-28 November 2026 across Bowhouse, Kellie Castle and St Monans.

Two short sessions in the Undercroft at Kellie Castle, designed to introduce children to the fun of yarn craft - what knitting is, the different stitches, and whether it might become a new interest.

What to expect:

• Saturday 28 November in the Kellie Castle Undercroft, with sittings at 10-11.30am and 12.30-2pm
• Led by accredited Knitting for All tutors who specialise in working with children and are PVG Scheme members
• Two groups each session, one for younger and one for older children
• "We are not setting age limits as you know your child's capacity best, but would suggest children aged 5-6+ might like their caring adult to stay with them"
• Materials provided by Rowan Yarns; each child leaves with a Kids Knit goodie bag of needles and yarn
• "£5 - All proceeds go to CHAS"
• Kellie Castle is open 10-4 all weekend, with tours and a tea room
