Christmas at Bute Park: Neurodivergent Evenings

The Neurodivergent Evenings are part of Christmas at Bute Park, Wales’s largest light trail, which runs 19 November to 31 December 2026.

"There are two evenings with a reduced audience capacity and reduced audio volume, which may be a preferable experience to people with neurodivergent conditions."

What to expect:

• Wednesday 2 and Wednesday 9 December 2026, for the whole evening
• "The trail will have a lower level of noise" and far fewer visitors than usual
• The same mile-long illuminated trail through four zones, about 60 minutes at a comfortable pace
• Step-free route on hard paths, ramps and matting; bring a folding chair if you need to rest
• The trail includes pulsing, flashing and strobe lighting effects
• Accessible toilets halfway along and in the Christmas Village; baby changing in the Village
• Book a timed slot online; entrance off North Road, behind Cardiff Castle
