About this event
Christmas at the Ulster Folk Museum is part of the museum's own programme at Cultra, near Holywood.
The authentic cottages and exhibit buildings are decorated for the season with lights, wreaths and cosy fires - Christmas as it once was, slower and filled with tradition.
What to expect:
- 12, 13, 19 and 20 December, 11:00 to 16:00; 21, 22 and 23 December, 10:00 to 16:00
- Traditional Christmas crafts for all ages, plus willow star making in the Weaving Shed
- A festive story in the Town School, or a silent-era Christmas film in the Picture House
- Carol singers, a brass band and a harpist; nut roasting, cinnamon toast over the open fire and Christmas cake
- Say hello to the donkeys and meet the makers demonstrating age-old crafts
- "Please note, this does not include a visit to Santa" - Santa is booked separately
- "We recommend pre-booking... Walk ups on the day are subject to availability"
- Parking is limited; an accessible bus runs from the overflow car parks
