All aboard for a magical Christmas evening of steam, song and seasonal cheer - a special festive journey from Swanage to Corfe Castle behind a beautifully restored steam locomotive.
What to expect:
- Three Thursday evenings: 3, 10 and 17 December 2026, 19:00 to 21:00
- Begins and ends at Swanage station
- At Corfe Castle you are welcomed with a traditional mince pie and a warming glass of mulled wine, or a soft drink, served from the railway's historic brake van
- The St Martin bell ringers from Wareham lead a selection of much-loved Christmas carols to join in with
- Traditional bagpiper Freddie Sills welcomes the train into Corfe Castle and pipes its departure at the end of the evening
- "Under 3s travel free, no seat allocated"
- Dress warmly - part of the evening is spent on the platform at Corfe Castle
