About this event
Christmas Evenings is part of the museum's own Christmas programme at the Ulster Folk Museum in Cultra, near Holywood.
Wander cobbled streets and cosy cottages decorated with wreaths, twinkling lights and the glow of braziers, with music from special guests the Ulster Orchestra.
What to expect:
- Friday 11 and Friday 18 December, 17:00 to 21:00
- "Traditional crafts from willow star making to creating decorations at our family-friendly craft stations"
- Ulster Orchestra string quartet on 11 December, brass quintet on 18 December, "playing 30 min performances at 6pm, 7pm & 8pm"
- Carol singers, a harpist and a brass band; silent-era films and fireside storytelling
- Cinnamon toast, roasted nuts and Christmas cake; say hello to the donkeys
- "Christmas Evening tickets do not include a visit to Santa" - book Santa separately
- After dark and largely outdoors, so wrap up warm
- Parking is limited; an accessible bus runs from the overflow car parks
