About this event
Come for a magical ride on our Christmas Experience steam train! South Downs Light Railway, a 10 1/4 inch gauge miniature railway in the grounds of Pulborough Garden Centre, runs its festive trains on eight days in December.
What to expect:
- Dates: Sat 5 & Sun 6, Sat 12 & Sun 13, Sat 19 & Sun 20, Wed 23 and Thu 24 December 2026
- Steam-hauled rides start at Stopham Road Station and slow down through a festive North Pole station, where Santa and his Christmas Team wish everyone the Season's Greetings
- The ride back to Stopham Road takes about 9 minutes
- "Ticket prices are £5 for both adults and children aged between 2 and 14, under-2s go free."
- Advance booking only, online up to 9pm the day before your visit
- Arrive at Stopham Road Station no later than 10 minutes before your train departs
- Treat it as an outdoor activity and dress for it; any weather cancellations go on the railway's Facebook page by 9am
