Creepy Castle Family Tour

Creepy Castle Family Tour is part of the programme at Colchester Castle.

Step inside the Castle this half term and hear some of its darkest stories. This guided family tour goes beyond the usual visitor route to explore hidden areas, strange moments from the Castle's past and some truly gruesome historical facts.

What to expect:

• Monday 26 to Friday 30 October 2026, tours at 11am and 2.30pm
• Each tour lasts approximately 45 minutes
• Recommended for children aged 7 and over; younger children welcome at a parent or guardian's discretion
• Slightly uneven flooring, low archways and uneven stairs; no lift access to the tour route
• "Add this guided tour to your Castle visit for £3.75 per person."
• Requires a valid Castle admission ticket or annual pass
