Dungeon Tours at Pontefract Castle

Dungeon Tours run year-round at Pontefract Castle, part of the what’s-on programme of Wakefield Museums and Castles. “Discover the many uses of the dungeon. See where English Civil War prisoners left to languish scratched their names into the rock.”

What to expect:

• “Tours run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10:45am to 11:30am (some exceptions due to events).”
• Running until Sunday 20 December 2026; “Tours last around 45 minutes.”
