About this event
Enchanted Trail of Light is part of the events programme at Colchester Zoo (Colchester Zoological Society) in Stanway, Colchester. An evening illuminated trail through the zoo grounds put together by the zoo's in-house team, with dancing fountains and a festive road train.
What to expect:
- Evenings of 27, 28, 29 November and 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 23, 27 and 28 December 2026
- "Tickets must be pre-booked online in advance for a specific time of arrival!" Entry slots every 15 minutes
- "£15.50 per person" off-peak (after 6:30pm on selected dates); "£18.00 per person" peak
- "Children under the age of 3 years old are not required to pre-book and will be admitted free of charge on the evening of the event."
- A special guest from the North Pole may appear on dates before Christmas
- Refreshment zones along the route, card only; no animal viewing
- Trail includes hills; no wheelchair or scooter hire on the night
