Family Lantern Tour

Join us for a special edition of our family-friendly Vaults Visit, where you’ll get the experience the Clifton Suspension Bridge vaults by the flickering light of your very own lantern. The Learning Team take families back to the bridge’s construction, as the last Victorian workers finishing Brunel’s hidden vaults.

What to expect:

• Saturday 31 October 2026, tours at 10:30am, 11:45am, 1:15pm and 2:30pm
• "aimed at families visiting with children between the ages of 7-14"; adult-only bookings are not accepted
• Put on a hard hat and climb down a vertical ladder into the vaults; minimum height 1.2m
• Hard hats and lanterns provided; wear sturdy shoes with good grip and weather-appropriate clothing
• The vaults can be wet or muddy; only small cross-body or two-strap bags, the rest can be left at the Museum
• "Adults £16 Children (7-18) £10"
