Take a walk across the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge and you’ll even feel the slight vibrations as traffic passes by, making the experience even more memorable. The bridge is surrounded by several fantastic viewpoints, perfect for capturing beautiful photos of the Avon Gorge and the bridge itself. Don’t miss the visitor centre, where you can learn about the fascinating history and engineering behind this remarkable landmark. It’s also very easy to catch a bus from the bridge back to Bristol city centre, making it a convenient place to visit. 🌉📸
What a marvellous piece of engineering that doesn’t show that it was built in 1936! The structure looks great after so many decades and it’s very well looked after. The area surrounding the bridge is equally amazing countryside.
This is an amazing bridge. It does move a lot when you're walking across it. The views are amazing from there, you can see for miles on a clear day! We went quite late in the afternoon so the little cafes were not open but there was places a not far away from the bridge. Well worth a crossing!
It was closed for traffic for repairs when we were there, which I guess was good, because there is still a walkway for crossing back and forth on foot. Views in all directions are spectacular. And the 160-year-old bridge is just amazing engineering by Isembard Kingdom Brunel.
Really beautiful and stunning brigde. Great views on both side of the bridge. You can walk down on both side and get lovely pictures. There is a third spot from where you can capture the whole bridge and some facts about the bridge is given.
