First World War Sessions for Home Educators

First World War Sessions for Home Educators is part of the programme at the Army Flying Museum at Middle Wallop. "Join us for interactive First World War activities run by members of the Museum team."

What to expect:

• One date: Friday 6 November 2026, 10.30am to 3pm
• "These activities are suitable for children aged 8-13."
• Two timetabled workshop slots in the Learning Room, 10.30-11.30 and 14.00-15.00: make an egg-box wartime scene, decorate a pebble for the Army Flying Memorial, build a First World War biplane
• A poppy trail runs all day through Hangars 1 and 2: "Find out about some of the heroes of aviation by following our poppy trail"
• "Learning room available for packed lunches" between 12.30 and 1pm
• "The cost is £6.00 per child and £6.00 each for accompanying adults."
• "Please be aware, parents/guardians must accompany their children at all times."
