I visited the museum and left feeling a bit unsatisfied. It was cool, an interesting museum, but it's a HUGE shame that you can't get close to the exhibits to "touch" them and see what they look like inside :( ;(. I understand that these are important and very valuable exhibits, but enthusiasts like ME would love to see them up close. The staff was nice, but the restaurant was poor—there were only 3 hot dishes to order + sandwiches from the fridge. The gift shop was awesome, though! I bought a lot of things. On the downside, they don't reply to emails with questions + the tickets are very expensive.

We visited on the Bank Holiday weekend and we had a lovely time. The Recdption lady is very kind. Parking Facility - yes and Free Baby Change- only Available in Gents Toil Buggy Friendly- Yes Food Facility - There a cafe inside which serve sandwich drink juices, Baps etc but they run out of hot food often So be prepared and brink kids food which you can enjoy outside with a nice view. Kids Playground- Yes

What an interesting museum, from balloons and kites to the Apache helicopter. I Guide really knew his history. We'll worth a visit. Has parking and a good café too. We had fun trying out helicopter controls.

Interesting museum covering the history of flying in the British Army, from the start with balloons to the latest helicopters. There's quite a lot to see. With full size aircraft, staged scenes, models, artifacts and information boards. We ran out of time, a couple of hours just wasn't enough to do it justice. There's a cafe that overlooks the airfield. The cafe does a snack lunch as well as tea and coffee etc. We had lunch in a local pub, for something more substantial. It is ok to pop out for lunch, they are ok with re-entry, just keep your badge safe. The entry ticket can be validated as an annual pass for no extra charge. Well worth doing. 😎👍👍👍👍

Wow! So much packed into the hangars. Some excellent "hands on" experiences to keep the youngsters happy, and the dioramas are truly stunning. All in all, a brilliant portrayal of the varied history of the Army Air Corps through the decades.
