About this event
Forest School for families is part of the programme at Swanwick Lakes Nature Reserve, run by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust.
A six-week Introduction to Forest School programme: you and your child join the Forest School group in the Swanwick Lakes woods to explore, discover, construct, cook on a campfire, play and learn.
What to expect:
- Fridays 6, 13, 20 and 27 November and 4 and 11 December 2026, 10am to 12 noon
- For families with 2-5 year olds; you stay with your child
- Sold as a block: £39 for a six session programme
- Sessions are flexible, linked to the seasons and local wildlife; drinks provided
- Online booking is essential and closes at 1pm on Thursday 5 November
- Wear warm waterproof coats, long sleeves, long trousers and closed-toe sturdy shoes or boots
- Meet at the Study Centre; people with limited mobility should contact the reserve in advance
