Fungi Foray

Explore the arboretum with your fungi guide Sara, who will lead you through all the different genus found at Winkworth. Whether a beginner or an enthusiast, this guided walk is for anyone who is interested in fungi and would like to know more about them and how to identify them. This event focuses on observing and identifying fungi in their natural habitats, rather than collecting them for consumption

What to expect:

• 3 October 2026 to 22 November 2026 on 4 selected dates, from 10:30 to 12:30
• "Supervised children 10 years and older."
• Outside the visitor centre at the meeting point. This will be signposted.
• "Wear clothing appropriate for the weather, and wellies or sturdy shoes."
• The arboretum is planted on steep slopes and hills with steps. Please be aware that paths become muddy and slippery.
• Booking essential
