Ghosts in the Gardens at Merchant Adventurers' Hall is part of the city-wide Ghosts in the Gardens trail, which runs 19 September to 1 November 2026.
Something spooky this way comes. York's streets and green spaces once again host a gathering of ghostly figures across historic sites, and the Hall's own garden fills with ghastly ghouls, among them the Company's female merchant.
What to expect:
- Ghost sculptures set out in the Hall's garden, one stop on a trail across York's historic sites
- Running from Saturday 19 September to Sunday 1 November 2026
- The Hall's usual opening hours are 10am to 4pm, with last admission 30 minutes before closing
- No advance booking is required
- Step-free entry by the Fossgate passageway, with ramped access through automatic doors
- There is a cafe at the Hall, and assistance dogs are welcome
