About this event
Giants & Heroes Day is part of the Forest Activities programme at Slieve Gullion Forest Park, a free series of outdoor family events run by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council. Slieve Gullion is the home of Fionn Mac Cumhaill in local legend, so the stories belong to the hill they are told on.
What to expect:

- A local storyteller sharing thrilling tales of mighty giants, brave heroes, and legendary adventures
- Hands-on craft activities inspired by the myths, creating their own heroic keepsakes to take home
- Free, and no booking is required - look for the purple flag on arrival
- Car parking charges apply at the forest park
- Outdoors and weather dependent: wear suitable footwear and clothing for outdoor conditions
- Fionn's Giant Adventure story trail is in the same park if you want to keep going afterwards
