About this event
Guinea Pig Fishing is a weekly session at Fairfield Animal Centre, the charity animal park near Trowbridge. "Feed our guinea pigs in a hilarious new way... creating enrichment for them, and fun for you!"
What to expect:
- Every Saturday at 10am, a 30-minute session
- Running on 10, 17, 24 and 31 October and 7, 14, 21 and 28 November 2026
- "When you arrive at the session, you'll get a bamboo fishing pole with the guinea pigs' favourite vegetables at the end of the line" - and the guinea pigs chase and nibble their treats
- "Cost: £6 per person"
- "Each participant will need to purchase a Day Ticket for park entry"
- Children must be supervised at all times
- "Spaces are very limited, so we highly recommend booking in advance"
- Afterwards the rest of the 15-acre park is there - goats, sheep, pigs, donkeys, alpacas and play areas
- Every ticket supports Fairfield Farm Trust, which trains young adults with learning difficulties
