Half Term Family Day is part of the programme at Guildhall Art Gallery and London's Roman Amphitheatre in the City of London.
A family day taking over the gallery and the Roman Amphitheatre, connecting young visitors with the art of tapestry through the Beyond Bayeux: Tapestry Now exhibition.
What to expect:
- Wednesday 28 October 2026, drop-in activities 11am to 4pm
- Help weave a giant collaborative tapestry, or make a mini tapestry on a frame loom (recommended 8 and over)
- Woven Tales storytelling: 11am and 3.30pm for 5s and under; 12pm and 2.30pm for 6s and over
- Draw a chapter of a giant illustrated story, plus a book corner
- Quiet space with ear defenders and sensory toys all day
- For children aged 3 to 13 and their families; not for unaccompanied adults
- "All activities are free." Booking recommended, walk-ins welcome
- Bring a packed lunch to eat in Guildhall Yard or the cloakroom area
