Halloween cruises from Hollingwood Hub

Halloween themed return trips on Madeline, the Chesterfield Canal Trust's trip boat, from Hollingwood Hub near Chesterfield. Each 1 hour cruise includes at least one lock movement, with scenic views and wildlife to look out for along the way - will you spot a Kingfisher or a Heron?

What to expect:

• Wednesday 28, Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October 2026
• Trips leave at 10.30, 11.30, 13.00, 14.00 and 15.00, each lasting 1 hour
• Prices: (1 hr, £7/£5). Where there are two prices, the concessions are for Under 16s; babes in arms go free.
• Passengers may have a turn at steering, under the supervision of the crew
• Access to the passenger cabin is down a short flight of steep steps
• Teas and coffees for a small charge; wear warm clothing suitable for the weather
• Book online in advance; cruises can be cancelled late if there is a problem with the canal, so ring 07473 621972 to check
