Halloween Events

Halloween Events is part of the programme at Bolton Castle near Leyburn, North Yorkshire. The courtyard and dungeon take a spooky theme, with a flurry of skeletons, a coffin, witches and a cauldron brew so potent that even the witches won't go near it. Death appears to have swung by for a visit - can you spot him?

What to expect:

• Runs 18 to 31 October 2026 during normal castle opening (castle, gardens and shop open 10am to 5pm)
• Halloween-themed dungeon and courtyard
• Costumes and props to try on for ghoulish family photos
• Storytelling at 1pm and the Witches Trial at 2.15pm in the Great Chamber on 24, 25, 26, 29, 30 and 31 October
• "Free with entry."
• "Included in our usual admission charges."
• Separate ticketed Castle by Lanternlight evenings on 26 and 29 October
