Halloween Shenanigans at Edin-boo! Castle is part of the Historic Environment Scotland events programme at Edinburgh Castle.

Some special guests await you in the Great Hall and they have a story to tell! It is 1440 and the boy King James II has invited the young heirs of the powerful Douglas estates to dine with him at Edinburgh Castle, but Sir William Chrichton, the King's chief advisor, has other plans.

What to expect:

• Living history performances in the Great Hall
• Find out what happens when the black boar's head is placed upon the dinner table and the sinister game of betrayal and murder begins
• Hear the tale of the 'grey lady', seen walking the castle grounds since 1537, from the glittering monarch James V
