About this event

Rufford Abbey Country Park turns its ancient woods into "a haunted playground for brave explorers of all ages" for the autumn half term. You follow the forest paths past spooky surprises, filling in a trail sheet as you go.

What to expect:

  • Daily from 10 October to 1 November 2026, 10am to 3pm
  • A woodland trail through the park's ancient woods, with ghoulish challenges along the way
  • "Trail sheets are £3 per child (includes trail sheet and prize)" - buy at the Courtyard Gift Shop or online
  • Book online and bring your QR code to collect the sheet and prize on the day
  • Little ghouls and goblins are invited to come in their spookiest costumes
  • "Anyone not filling in a trail sheet or receiving a prize does not need to pay" and can come along
  • Dogs on leads are welcome, and are encouraged to dress up too
  • Regular car parking charges apply at the park
