About this event
Halloween Weekend is part of the programme at the Aln Valley Railway, Northumberland's heritage steam railway at Lionheart Station on the edge of Alnwick.
Spookily things going on – follow the bat trail, but beware! A themed weekend of steam-hauled trains through the Northumbrian countryside.
What to expect:
- Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 2026
- Steam-hauled return trains from Lionheart Station to Greenrigg Halt, departing 11:00, 12:15, 13:45 and 15:00
- A bat trail to follow around the site
- Miniature railway, playground, café and gift shop on site
- Site admission is FREE – just pay for train rides!
- Children under 3 travel free. Child tickets are required for those aged 3 to 15.
- Tickets online or on the day from the AVR shop (subject to availability)
