Halloween Witches of Watercress Woods is part of the programme at The Watercress Line, the heritage railway at Alresford. "The Watercress Line transforms into a place of magic and mischief for Halloween!" An immersive round trip where Hansel & Gretel need young passengers' help to keep the train safe from the witches.
What to expect:
- Thursday 29 to Saturday 31 October 2026, two departures a day from Alresford (early and mid-afternoon)
- Interactive story onboard with Hansel & Gretel and the Witches, with characters along the route
- "plenty of Halloween fun without the fright"
- "A goodie bag for every child, including a colouring activity and an edible treat."
- Return journey Alresford to Alton and back; allow 2 hours
